Victory for commercial property team at Wolstanton Maths Challenge
A team of school children aged between 10 and 14 years old, led by Beswicks commercial property partner Hayley Kennedy, were rewarded with a box of Maltesers each after winning the Wolstanton Maths Challenge at Wolstanton High School and Finest challenge day on Friday 29th February 2008.
The challenge was to make the most profit from a housing development so a great deal of maths was involved to ascertain construction costs and the actual scale of the houses to fit onto the land available.
Hayley Kennedy helped her team to overthrow their opponents by sharing her legal knowledge and experience in the property sector field. Her opponents were also assisted by local professionals: Mike Hancock of Butters John Bee, Richard Egginton of Faithful & Gould and Mick Fernyhough of Hydrock.
Hayley said, Beswicks Solicitors is very keen to support the local community and we got involved in this through our membership of Finest. I really enjoyed myself, and got a great deal from it, seeing how the children worked together. They were brilliant. Hayley would also like to thank the team at Finest who organised the event.
