Litigation solicitor, Matthew Simmonds has been appointed as Honorary Solicitor of Stoke-on-Trent Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB), having worked with the existing trustee board since August 2008.

As Honorary Solicitor, Matthew provides general advice on any legal issues encountered by the trustees.  As a quasi-trustee he also attends all management meetings held to determine local CAB strategy.

Stoke-on-Trent Citizens Advice Bureau employs 80 paid and 70 voluntary workers to assist around 30,000 people locally each year.  The advice and assistance provided ranges from debt advice to employment and tax issues.

“The CAB provides a unique and essential service to the population of Stoke-on-Trent, ensuring advice and access to justice for all.  I am proud to have been appointed Honorary Solicitor and look forward to doing whatever I can to assist this great organisation” comments Matthew.
