£3500 raised for children in Uganda in 3 Peaks Challenge
A team from Beswicks took part in 3 Peaks Challenge once again this year over the weekend of May 14th, and have raised over £3500 for the Kabanda Trust, a local charity which supports education and health projects in Uganda.
Joanne McGuinness, partner in the Family Department and a Trustee of the Kabanda Trust says "Since the Trust began in 2006 we have seen the 2 schools we support grow from strength to strength. There is no doubt lives have been saved through the building of the health rooms and by employing a school nurse and we'd like to thank everyone who has kindly made a donation."
