Cycletta North follows a 36.6km route over a series of gradual inclines and declines, turns and straights, through flowing fields and beautiful rural scenery with some memorable views.
Keen cyclist, Anne, completed the circuit in 1 hour and 29 minutes and raised money for The Joshua Tree a Northwich based charity which is raising funds to develop a holiday house and support centre in Cheshire, where children with a life threatening illness can come with their families for a FREE short break.
“I really enjoyed taking part in this unique women’s only cycling event through the Cheshire countryside." said Anne. "I would like to thank everyone who sponsored me – The Joshua Tree is a very worthwhile charity and needs all the support it can get. I’m looking forward to next year’s event already.”
Victoria Pendleton, Olympic Gold Medallist and Cycletta Ambassador commented, "It was such a privilege to ride alongside hundreds women in Cycletta North. I was able to speak to lots of girls on the way round and the enthusiasm and atmosphere was infectious. It is great to see so many more women cycling, not just at Cycletta but every day, and we really hope this continues. Well done girls."
