Barrister joins Criminal Defence Team at Beswicks
Peter McCartney, a well respected Defence Barrister has joined the Criminal Defence Team. His appointment will add a new dimension to the client service offering by Beswicks.

He has considerable experience as a Defence Barrister in the Crown Court, and has successfully defended clients charged with all types of criminal offences. His expertise extends to Murder, Manslaughter, GBH, Burglary, Dangerous Driving and Drugs offences. He is approved to conduct VHCC cases, and has therefore handled Serious Fraud defences, Confiscation Hearings and Proceeds of Crime Applications.
Peter's appointment means that Beswicks can offer a seamless service from the arrest at the police station through the Magistrates' Court and onto the Crown Court, and where applicable the Court of Appeal.
Beswicks are the first solicitors practice in this area to appoint an in-house Barrister, and believe this will be extremely beneficial to their clients.
