Beswicks Art Initiative 2010
An exhibition of around 25 paintings by local artists from Eccleshall Art Gallery, Gallery@12, is currently being hosted by Beswicks at their offices at Alexander House in Hanley.
Gallery@12 is the result of a number of local artists pooling their talents and running the gallery as a co-operative, which allows new, up and coming artists to display their work for sale.
The artists and artisans at Gallery@12 work across a range of creative disciplines, including jewellery design, ceramics, textiles as well as landscape and figurative painting.
Simon Woodings, managing partner at Beswicks is impressed with the new concept. "It's great to see how a new business in an established sector can reinvent the way they operate. The artwork created by the artists at Gallery@12 is representative of the creativity that has always existed within Staffordshire and i am pleased that Beswicks is associated with this project".
The art will remain on display at Alexander House until the end of 2010.
