Practice areas

Howard was admitted to the roll in February 1974 and until approximately 10 years ago was a general practitioner and advocate.

In more recent years however Howard has specialised in private client work over a broad spectrum including residential property but much of his time is now spent with Inheritance Tax Planning (particularly the use of the Nil Rate Band Discretionary Will Trust), Wills, Probate and Law for the elderly an area of increasing importance. 

Howard advises on Enduring Powers of Attorney and has a wealth of experience with Court of Protection (now the Guardianship Court) in many cases having been appointed by the Court to be himself the Receiver.
