Beswicks’ corporate and commercial property teams advised Bee Active on the acquisition of Raindrops Nursery in Knypersley, Staffordshire.

Bee Active, based in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, has been running childcare in the form of school holiday clubs across North Staffordshire and South Cheshire for ages 4-12, since 2013. The company also works extensively in schools in the local area supporting with PE, extra curricular clubs, events and  before and after school care clubs.

The acquisition of Raindrops Nursery heralds a new chapter for the company as it expands into early years provision, accommodating around 50 children aged 0-5 years at the Knypersley settings.

Ben Mills, Bee Active CEO, said: “This is something that we have been waiting to do for a long time and we’re very excited to finally get the opportunity to move into the early years. Our core offer will centre around developing positive outcomes for children’s wellbeing, physical and mental health and embedding healthy lifestyle choices from an early age.

“The Beswicks team were on hand to guide us through the process from the very beginning of the initial talks. Rebekah, Laura and David were all really knowledgeable, professional and easy to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.”

Rebekah Jones, Beswicks Legal Corporate Associate, added: “The acquisition of Raindrops is an exciting new chapter for Bee Active – a company that is committed to helping children be healthy, happy and active. We were delighted to support Ben and the team through this transaction and wish them every success.”
