Beswicks’ corporate law team is delighted to have advised leading UK mechanical engineering company Fluid Sealing & Engineering (FSE) on its sale to RSK Group.
Corporate Partner Peter Ellis and Corporate Senior Associate Rebekah Jones worked closely with FSE shareholders to provide legal advice and services ensuring the successful sale of the business.
Originally founded in Stoke-on-Trent, but now based in Rotherham, FSE has grown from a small family business formed in 1986 to become a key provider of the design, manufacture and installation of pipework and associated structures in water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations and other water related infrastructure.
The company, now with a team of over 30 people, works with most of the main Tier 1 contractors and operates widely across the UK water regions.
Working alongside Beswicks advising on the sale were Chris Jones and Kate Evans from Bates Weston who provided corporate finance advice and Paul Hulme and Ryan Smith from DJH who provided accounting and taxation support.
FSE director, Phil Salt, said “By joining RSK, FSE will be working with an established trading partner with which we share the same values and ethos while providing enhanced opportunities for growth in an expanding market. We benefitted from the advice, expertise and experience of the respective teams at Bates Weston, DJH and Beswicks Legal. Their comprehensive support throughout the process was invaluable and ensured that the sale was completed smoothly and in line with the agreed timetable.”
Peter Ellis, Corporate Partner at Beswicks Legal, added, “We were delighted to advise Phil, George and the FSE management team on the sale of the business to RSK. FSE’s journey from family-run business to leading engineering company is a huge success story. I’m sure FSE will go from strength to strength as part of RSK Group and we wish them all well with their next chapter.”
