An expert team of corporate, sports and commercial property lawyers from Beswicks Legal advised American businessman Kevin Nagle on his acquisition of Huddersfield Town AFC.

The deal, which required complex negotiations, completed on 22 June 2023 following approval from the English Football League and Financial Conduct Authority.

A multi-disciplinary team led by corporate partner Peter Ellis advised Mr Nagle, who owns USL Championship side Sacramento Republic. Also instrumental in the successful acquisition were managing partner Nick Phillips, corporate partner Caroline Gray, corporate associate David Morgan, sports lawyer Tim Bailey and commercial property senior associate Laura Pyatt.
