Gary Mellor and Tim Bailey of Beswicks Legal embark on a ten day trip to China next week, taking in meetings in Shanghai and Beijing, with representatives of the Chinese government’s sport and education sectors, along with a number of Chinese Super League Clubs and sports marketing agencies.
Beswicks enjoys an excellent reputation in the US and European sports markets and this trip presents a great opportunity to establish a presence in the world’s fastest growing football economy.
The firm’s commercial client profile is wide ranging and the visit also includes meetings to progress initiatives already underway with the Chinese government for a client involved in the education sector.
Gary said; “We’ve always been a business which doesn’t stand still and isn’t afraid of exploring new and emerging markets, China is one of those and we are very excited by the potential opportunities which will be presented to us. Preparation has been key, we do not embark on this type of challenge without having a proper understanding of Chinese business culture and ensuring that we meet the appropriate decision makers. We are looking forward to sharing our experiences and knowledge with our clients when we return”.
