Commercial property paralegal Sam Cartwright has been awarded a training contract at Beswicks Legal after achieving a distinction in the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Staffordshire University.

Sam joined Beswicks as a commercial property paralegal based in the Stoke-on-Trent head office in 2022, having graduated from Keele University two years earlier with a First Class Honours in Law.

After gaining considerable experience in the firm’s commercial property and dispute resolution departments, while studying for his LPC, Sam has been awarded a training contract – a major step towards becoming a fully-qualified solicitor.

Sam’s training contract will see him placed with a range of different departments over the next 18-months, beginning with a seat in commercial property.

Beswicks Legal Group Operations Director Ryan Yates said: “Congratulations to Sam on both achieving a distinction in his LPC and being awarded a training contract. Sam’s worked incredibly hard to achieve this next step on his career ladder and deserves every success.

“We strongly believe in career progression at Beswicks and it is very pleasing to be able to support Sam to achieve his goals.”

Sam added: “I’m very grateful for the opportunity to progress my career with Beswicks. It’s great to be part of a firm which has supported me throughout my studies and given me so many opportunities to develop my skills.

“I look forward to working across various departments and learning from different members of the team.”
