Learn More About

Wills

A will is a professionally drafted legal document that sets out what should happen to your assets when you pass away.

There are a number of different types of wills – mirror wills, next generation wills, asset preserver wills, business protection wills. Our experts can guide you through each and help you work out which one would be best for you.

Trusts

Trusts provide a way of placing ownership of assets into the hands of trustees who look after them for the beneficiaries.

The benefits of trusts include being able to control when assets pass to children and grandchildren, inheritance tax planning, to hold death benefits from life insurance and pensions, to help with the sale of business property and to create a fund for a charitable purpose.

Intestacy

If a person dies intestate, it means that they have passed away without a valid will being in place. When this happens the deceased’s estate will be shared according to the rules of intestacy.

You can read more about the rules of intestacy in our Legal Hub.

Probate

Probate is one element in the process of dealing with and distributing a person’s estate after they have passed away. Probate isn’t always necessary, but it is required in most cases where there is a property or significant assets to distribute.

We can obtain the Grant of Probate or Grant of Letters of Administration on your behalf or we can handle the entire estate administration process for you from start to finish. See our fixed fees.
