With the fantastic support of clients and contacts, Beswicks Legal has raised a staggering £35,000 for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.

Team Beswicks’ fundraising efforts were organised as a way of paying tribute to former partner Mike Stephenson who was cared for at the hospice earlier this year.

As well as taking part in the Dougie Mac’s annual events like the 5K run-walk, bike ride and moonlight walk, the team staged their own summer ball, golf day and six dales challenge.

Reaching the £35,000 mark means Beswicks will now be crowned Dougie Mac platinum corporate partners.

Beswicks Senior Partner Gary Mellor said: “Many people in North Staffordshire will have friends, relatives or colleagues who have benefited from the amazing care provided by the Dougie Mac.

“Having a personal connection has really motivated us and created a focal point for our fundraising activities. We are incredibly proud of the phenomenal amount that we have raised for the charity with the help of our clients and contacts. To raise over £35,000 in Mike’s memory is a fitting tribute to a great colleague.”

Suzi Smith, the Dougie Mac’s Head of Corporate Fundraising and Events, added: “The support of Beswicks’ has been truly remarkable, the entire team has dedicated a lot of time and resource to ensuring their fundraising was a fitting tribute to Mike and their incredible fundraising total is a credit to all of their hard work.
