Do I have to register my lasting power of attorney with the bank? Lasting Power of Attorney

Yes, a lasting power of attorney should be registered with each bank or building society that you would like your attorney to be able to access and manage.

If you do this while you have capacity, you will need to remember to register it with any new banks should you switch. Otherwise, you can leave it for your attorneys to register your LPA with your banks when they need to bring them into use.
