What happens if my debt case is defended? Debt Recovery

We will discuss with you the procedure in relation to allocation of your case and directions which will be given by the court. If your case is allocated to the Small Claims Track, the court may decide, with the agreement of the parties, to refer the case to the Small Claims Mediation Service to see if a settlement can be agreed. If not, the case can proceed to a final hearing in which all parties will have to comply with the court’s directions.
